Mines is the thirteenth map added to Gorilla Tag during the 1.1.94 update on November 29, 2024. Mines serves as an appendage to Caves (previously City). Mines was appended to Caves because of an update to Rotating, which entirely changed the map.
Description[]
Upon entering Mines, players will find a brightly lit crystal room filled with pink, yellow, and cyan crystals. The crystals are arranged in different formations and patterns, adding an element of beauty to the otherwise deep setting. Below the crystal room are the mines, a dimly lit mining facility with shafts, tunnels, and minecarts. Mines is connected to the map Cave, which is also known as the Crystal Caverns, and it contains several unique features and aspects.

- Mines is the only map that contains a skeleton that can be summoned by tapping on a vase, known as Lucyfer.
- Mines is the first map to be appended to Cave, after one of its "secret tunnels" opened up.
- Mines is one of the few maps with a horror gamemode and contains a Ghost Reactor Mines location.
- These are some of the few aspects of its Rotating version
- Mines can also be referenced to as the "2024 version of OG Caves"
- As of April 4, 2025, the Ghost Reactor area has been blocked off, however there is still a way to glitch in.
- After May 2, 2025, the Ghost Reactor area has been transformed into new map called Ghost Reactor
Issues[]
- Guardian is unplayable in the Mines, because the Meteor instead lands in Cave.
- The dirt sound was replaced with the default footstep sound.
- The "GET OUT" text doesn't immediately appear when Lucyfer is summoned.
