Gorilla OS is the operating system used in the computers of the VR game Gorilla Tag, primarily to update preferences such as your color and username. Gorilla OS is able to be accessed in most maps in the game.

Functions[]

Gorilla OS has a set of functions which can be interacted with by the player.

The Room tab is used to join a specfic room and leave the current room the player is in. There are limitations for this, as players can only create private rooms using this tab. This tab is simplified for users under 13.

PRESS ENTER TO JOIN OR CREATE A CUSTOM ROOM WITH THE ENTERED CODE. PRESS OPTION 1 TO DISCONNECT FROM THE CURRENT ROOM.

ROOM TO JOIN: [ROOM]

The Name tab is used to edit the name used by the player. When the player tries to save an inapropriate name, Gorilla OS will warn the player with a confirmation screen, which can be accepted or denied by the player. This tab is removed for users under 13.

PRESS ENTER TO CHANGE YOUR NAME TO THE ENTERED NEW NAME.

The Color (or Colour) tab is used to edit the color used by the player. The color is set using three different color channels ranging from 0 to 9.

USE THE OPTIONS BUTTONS TO SELECT THE COLOR TO UPDATE, THEN PRESS 0-9 TO SET A NEW VALUE.

RED: 9

GREEN: 9

BLUE: 9

The Turn tab is used to edit the turning preferences used by the player such as the turn speed which ranges from 0 to 9, and the turn mode which includes Smooth, Snap, and None.

PRESS OPTION 1 TO USE SNAP TURN. PRESS OPTION 2 TO USE SMOOTH TURN. PRESS OPTION 3 TO USE NO ARTIFICIAL TURNING. PRESS THE NUMBER KEYS TO CHOOSE A TURNING SPEED.

CURRENT TURN SPEED: 5

The Mic tab is used to edit the microphone preferences used by the player. These options include All Chat, Push to Talk, and Push to Mute.

CHOOSE ALL CHAT, PUSH TO TALK, OR PUSH TO MUTE. THE BUTTONS FOR PUSH TO TALK AND PUSH TO MUTE ARE ANY OF THE FACE BUTTONS.

PRESS OPTION 1 TO CHOOSE ALL CHAT. PRESS OPTION 2 TO CHOOSE PUSH TO TALK. PRESS OPTION 3 TO CHOOSE PUSH TO MUTE.

CURRENT MIC SETTING: ALL CHAT

The Queue tab is used to set the queue preference used by the player.

THIS OPTION AFFECTS WHO YOU PLAY WITH. DEFAULT IS FOR ANYONE TO PLAY NORMALLY. MINIGAMES IS FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO PLAY WITH THEIR OWN MADE UP RULES. COMPETITIVE IS FOR PLAYERS WHO WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND TRY AS HARD AS THEY CAN. PRESS OPTION 1 FOR DEFAULT, OPTION 2 FOR MINIGAMES, OR OPTION 3 FOR COMPETITIVE. CURRENT QUEUE: DEFAULT

The Group tab is used to bring a set of players from a private room to an appropriately sized public room.

USE THIS TO JOIN A PUBLIC ROOM WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS. GET EVERYONE IN A PRIVATE ROOM. PRESS THE NUMBER KEYS TO SELECT THE MAP. 1 FOR FOREST, 2 FOR CAVE, AND 3 FOR CANYON, AND 4 FOR CITY. WHILE EVERYONE IS SITTING NEXT TO THE COMPUTER, PRESS ENTER. YOU WILL ALL JOIN A PUBLIC ROOM TOGETHER AS LONG AS EVERYONE IS NEXT TO THE COMPUTER. CURRENT MAP SELECTION : FOREST

The Voice tab is used to toggle between human voices and monkey voices. This tab is removed for users under 13.

CHOOSE WHICH TYPE OF VOICE YOU WANT TO HEAR AND SPEAK.

PRESS OPTION 1 = HUMAN VOICES.

PRESS OPTION 2 = MONKE VOICES.

VOICE TYPE: HUMAN

The Items tab is used to edit the item preferences used by the player. These options include Cosmetic Particle visibility and Instrument Volume.

UPDATE ITEMS SETTINGS. PRESS OPTION 1 TO ENABLE ITEM PARTICLES. PRESS OPTION 2 TO DISABLE ITEM PARTICLES. PRESS 1-10 TO CHANGE INSTRUMENT VOLUME FOR OTHER PLAYERS.

The Credits tab is an information-based tab which displays a list of credits for those who have contributed to the game.

The Support tab is an information-based tab which displays useful information relating to the player which could be used if the player has an issue relating to their account or another case-sensitive issue.
