The Glider is a holdable object in Gorilla Tag which can be used for flight in Clouds.
Behaviour[]
Spawning[]
A Glider will be spawned below or near a Glider Vine, a specific type of vine which appears in Clouds, identified by it's red blossoming flowers seen on the vine. When a Glider is out of it's original bounds and it has not been used for some time, it will be respawned at it's original point.
Flight[]
Going into the wind spiral in the center of Clouds while a Glider is in your hand(s) will cause you to go upwards, which is the main way to start gliding. Alternatively, you can jump off a high surface and catch the wind by aiming your Glider down and smoothly turning up again. While gliding, push your arms inward to turn down, and pull outwards to turn up. rolling a Glider does not affect its movement, horizontal movement is based upon the hands position from the head. Stalling can occur when turning too fast in any direction, holding your Glider upward for long periods, or moving too slow. Depending on altitude, you can save yourself by catching the air.
Variants[]
The Glider has eight regular variants and four cosmetic variants.
Regular Variants[]
These variants are randomly given to each individual Glider with the exception of the Special variant, which is only applied when the owner of the Glider is using a Skin other than the default fur.
Cosmetic Variants[]
These variants are applied to a Glider when the owner of the Glider has a cosmetic with a variant equipped.
Trivia[]
- The Glider uses a different model for the Halloween season, with the change in model, all existing cosmetic variants given to the Glider are given new textures to fit with the new model and overall changes in style.
- In the first release of the Clouds Revamp, you could have an invisible glider glitched to your hand and use it in every map. (This would cause a glitch known as the “Glider Glitch” which made a players tag hitbox larger than normal)
