We received revamps of City and Clouds, and slightly basement. We received 7 new maps (Rotating, Metropolis, Attic, Arcade, Bayou, Monkeblocks, and Mines/OG caves). We received friendship bracelets, a huge new feature. We also received the daily tee feature. We also got many limited time modes such as Ambush and Freeze Tag. We also received the LIV camera, expanding content creation without mods. We also received the ability to try on bundles, and a cosmetic type, fur. So yeah, there ya go. Huge year.

2025 is off to a big start with creator codes, so stay playing for this year, because I feel like something big is coming.

2021 brought 4 maps to the game: Forest, Caves, Canyons, and City

2022 brought 2 maps to the game: Mountains and Clouds

2023 brought 2 maps to the game: Basement and Beach

2024 brought 7 maps to the game: Rotating, Metropolis, Attic, Arcade, Bayou, Monkeblocks, and Mines.

Hello,

I've been a part of the Discord & Reddit Gorilla Tag community since 2022. Although I'd like to stay anonymous, I personally know most of the people behind this wiki and know they only have good intentions. Since this wiki has gained quite some traction with almost a thousand pages, I wanted to bring something up.

Has there ever been talks about moving to an independent wiki website? This means completely forking Fandom, as many wikis have already done: Terraria, Hollow Knight, ARK Survival Evolved, Pizza Tower, Minecraft, and many more now-independent wikis. There are various free-to-host and open-source wiki websites, most already having various gaming wikis. Honestly I'd recommend wiki.gg if I had a choice, with a good reputation for wikis as Dying Light and Terraria, as well as being open-source without ads.

Obviously the reasoning is Fandom's constant ads and business choices which have been upsetting and annoying the industry and communities for almost a decade. And OBVIOUSLY this isn't a quick and simple switch, with leading issues being search engine SEO and the work to replace all pages, as AA projects don't obviously have the utter scale of fandoms like Hollow Knight.

For some reason I heard campfire fade into merry monke (in game)

Attic is the only Gorilla Tag map to have ever been removed! (Excluding Rotating maps and revamped maps because those don’t count)

Out of the first 6 maps in Gorilla Tag, Forest is the only one to have never gotten a revamp

I am probably the most active person on this wiki so if I could please get that role? I also contribute a lot so yeah

Gorilla Tag support for the Quest 1 has been discontinued, they are now stuck at the Monkeblocks update and can’t play with Quest 2 or Quest 3 players
