Nobody really cares for Gorilla Tag anymore.
I mean, have you seen the player count? It’s declining.
Go on TikTok and find a relatively popular Gorilla Tag video. You’ll find “Gorilla Tag in the big 25 🥀” I guarantee it. Happens on my TikTok too.
Everyone has also moved on to Animal Company. Personally, I fall into this. I find it a much more enjoyable game. Gorilla Tag will always be better as I’ve had more fun experiences there. But,, Gorilla Tag’s updates aren’t all amazing as they used to be. Think of 2023 or 2024, or whenever you got into the game. If you’re like me, you might’ve been excited every four weeks on a Friday. Maybe Beach was coming out. Maybe the Attic. But you were happy, weren’t you?
Maybe it’s a case of me and other people being blinded by nostalgia.
It could also be a case of you just getting older. Maybe you’re not so excited about a gorilla game.
But, truth is, Gorilla Tag is dying. One day, the player count will hit 0. May not be this year, or the next. Maybe not even in the next decade. But, one day, it will.
And that day. That day will be upsetting. One of your favourite games.. dead.
